Posting Note: The East Valley Manager is a unique role that will quickly expand over the next 12 months. Initially the position will be responsible for the outpatient Surgery Center, managing approximately 20 employees that will include nurses, SPD, techs, schedulers, etc. The surgery center is a fast-paced outpatient clinic that provides surgery/procedures for ENT, some dental, and simple ortho procedures. The incumbent for this position will also be responsible for the new surgery unit at the East Valley hospital that will open in early fall. The manager will be heavily involved in the preparation of Perioperative Services at the new hospital. The manager will have responsibility for the planning, staffing, training schedules for staff, and opening the new facility. The leaders will have oversight of the operations of 6 OR's and 2 procedure rooms, and will manage approximately 50 employees. This will be a dual leadership role over the hospital and the east valley surgery center. We are looking to hire someone who is excited for our growth, who is highly skilled in multitasking, and is ready to jump in to get it done as we get ready to open the new facility!! This unique position will manage the day-to-day clinical supervisor responsibilities for the outpatient surgery center. The incumbent MUST HAVE a minimum of 1 year OR experience, and some leadership experience as a Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse or Preceptor to be considered. This role is a Monday - Friday; NO holidays; NO weekends and NO call!!! Although, you will be required to take after hour phone calls for staffing purposes. Incumbent will manage a small staff of 12 - 15 employees, to include nurses, surgical techs, and PCT employees. This position will eventually support some of the leadership needs of the new hospital once it opens at the end of 2024.
The Clinical Supervisor coordinates shift operational flow in conjunction with organizational and departmental strategic goals, objectives, and standards and is the hospital’s clinical representative/resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team, at both the unit and organization levels. This position provides clinical leadership of patient care services and directs supervision of nursing and support staff to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, professional standards and requirements.
