The Avondale Emergency Department is Phoenix Children's newly opened, 40-bed ancillary, level IV trauma ED in the Southwest Valley. The ED provides high quality family-centered care to a wide range of diagnoses, illnesses and injuries. Registered Nurses work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to care for patients. Clinical leadership is available on both days and nights to provide ongoing support.  The level IV trauma and ED environment requires those with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, excellent communication and teamwork, as well as the desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic setting.  Previous pediatric ED, acute, or critical care experience preferred. This will be a full-time nights position (7pm - 730am). The CVICU treats patients from admit to discharge with congenital or acquired heart diseases and disorders that includes the care of patients immediately following cardiac surgery, children with transplant, as well as those children experiencing a broad range of complex cardiovascular conditions. The CVICU setting requires those with strong decision-making skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
