Posting Note: The Clinical Supervisor role is an exciting opportunity to have hands on patient care experience, supervising staff and clinic flow as well also involvement with practice change and quality improvements. The CCBD Clinical Supervisor role is to support clinic staff in all locations (Main, East Valley and Southwest Valley), support CCBD and PCMG leadership objectives, and to be an interdepartmental liaison for other divisions needing support and collaboration from the CCBD.
The goal is to have the Clinical Supervisor (CS) be cross-trained to many areas (clinic, draw station, procedures, infusion, POC, triage, and basic clinician duties) to allow the CS to step into any role that needs support throughout the day. Duties vary from day to day, but often include supporting to all areas of clinic and being able to step in and assist staffing and patient care without very little notice. The CS is directly responsible for supervising the MAs/Techs. The CS also facilitate orienting, training, and scheduling the volunteers in the CCBD. Other responsibilities include improving quality care aligning with evidence based practice, involvement in committees and survey readiness.
Requirements: BSN, Certification
Preference: Supervisor experience, Chemo certification, PACU experience.
The Clinical Supervisor coordinates shift operational flow in conjunction with organizational and departmental strategic goals, objectives, and standards and is the hospital’s clinical representative/resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team, at both the unit and organization levels. This position provides clinical leadership of patient care services and directs supervision of nursing and support staff to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, professional standards and requirements. Provides clinical leadership with accountability in promoting quality patient care and an engaging work environment, during assigned shift.
