Posting Note: This full-time Medical Assistant position will work on the main campus and will be trained for front and back-office job duties. You will work out of the Phoenix campus providing back-office duties that will include hands-on procedures including casting patients, working with a Sports provider. The administrative duties will include follow up with patients via phone. This is a fast-paced and high-volume work environment and it is a great learning opportunity. The Medical Assistant - Certified works under the direction of a licensed health care professional and performs various clinical and administrative tasks for the assigned area. The Certified Medical Assistant is expected to carry out the mission, vision, and values of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A continuous exhibition of professionalism, strong ethical conduct, and integrity must be carried out at all times. Interdepartmental collaboration, high standards of work performance, keeping a positive attitude and adhering to the policies and procedures of Phoenix Children’s Hospital is essential. This position requires current and continuous certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) in the field of Medical Assisting.

Pt Access Rep/Scheduler-Float

This position performs efficient and orderly registration of all patients. Prepares admission forms, obtains necessary documentation and signatures, and confirms demographic information when the patient and/or guarantor present for services. Collects copay and deductible amounts at time of service. Coordinates and manages physician schedules for outpatient office visits working with systems, physicians and team members to appropriately schedule office visits. Enters pertinent patient data and specific physician requests.
