This position works under the direction and is supervised by a Clinical Nurse to perform a variety of direct patient care services to assist in the implementation of selected portions of the care plan in accordance with the regulations established by the Arizona Emergency Medical Services laws.
This position works under the direction of a licensed health care professional and performs various clinical and administrative tasks for the assigned area.
Posting Note: This position will have complete oversight over our Avondale stand-along Emergency Department.
Ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in an ED setting, preferably with the pediatric population, including three years of leadership/supervisory experience. Candidate must hold a Bachelor's in Nursing Degree, an AZ RN license or an RN license from a compact state, and a BLS and PALS certification from American Heart Association.
This position manages, evaluates and supervises operational functions and activities of assigned area by guiding and supporting staff and serving as liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
This position provides occupational therapy services to a pediatric population, from neonatal through adolescence/young adulthood. Performs evaluation, program planning, and treatment of patients in activities of daily living, sensorimotor integration, cognitive and psychosocial skill, and feeding therapy, specific to age and developmental/functional level determined by assessment.
The Patient Access Representative performs efficient and orderly registration of all patients. Acts as primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Prepares admission forms, obtains necessary documentation and signatures, and confirms demographic information when the patient and/or guarantor present for services. Collects co-pay and deductible amounts at time of service. Some travel from site to site may be necessary based on business needs of the department.
This position provides outpatient orthopedic & sports physical therapy services primarily to a pediatric population from school age through adolescence/young adulthood. The applicant should be adept and comfortable independently managing the complete continuum of professional services from patient access to appropriate coding and billing practices according to legal/ethical guidelines and hospital policy. Performs evaluations, program planning, and treatment of patients using exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, joint and soft tissue mobilization, taping, electrical stimulation, thermal modalities, etc. specific to age, athletic activity, and developmental/functional level determined by assessment. This position will demonstrate an understanding of billing and coding practices as appropriate for professional outpatient services and its revenue cycle.
This position assists in the productive operation of the outpatient sports medicine physical therapy program, working under the direction and supervision of the professional therapy staff in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Supports daily operation of the clinic in a variety of clinical, clerical and other capacities including treatment setups/cleanups, maintaining treatment area/equipment, assisting clinicians with routine patient care tasks, stocking of supplies and administrative support.
