Posting Note: Medical Director of Anesthesiology – Phoenix Children’s East Valley Hospital
The Division of Anesthesiology at Phoenix Children’s is currently being developed to provide anesthesia care across the Phoenix Children's system, including three hospital campuses and three ambulatory surgery centers. The current operating room and interventional capacity includes 12 inpatient OR’s and 17 ambulatory OR’s/GI endoscopy suites, two interventional radiology suites and two cardiac catheterization suites. In addition, anesthesia provides care in five MRI’s and in hematology/oncology clinic. Between 2022 and 2024 Phoenix Children's will expand into two additional campuses which will increase OR suites by 12 additional rooms.
The Medical Director - East Valley campus will be responsible for the operational leadership of developing a highly motivated anesthesia team at a new children’s hospital in the East Valley of the greater Phoenix area as part of the Phoenix Children’s health system. This new hospital will include 6 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms, interventional radiology suites, and multiple medical imaging locations. This leader will interface will multiple surgical and procedural services to match anesthesia services with growth in care of pediatric patients. Responsibilities will include participating in recruitment and management of a pediatric anesthesia team, optimizing delivery of anesthesia services, and improving the care of pediatric patients at this hospital. Seeking a highly motivated individual with leadership experience. This leader will report to the chief of anesthesiology of Phoenix Children’s.

Our staff provide anesthesia to approximately 36,000 children per year while managing their own cases with teaching responsibilities to anesthesia residents from Mayo Clinic and the University of Arizona. We anticipate growth in the East and West valley over the next 3 years.
