Position Summary

As a key member of Phoenix Children’s Marketing team, the Branding and Consumer Strategies Manager plays an integral role in marketing Phoenix Children’s physicians and other providers, medical specialties, facilities and other offerings to acquire new patients, retain existing ones, enhance loyalty and build the brand. This professional develops and executes strategic marketing plans to increase revenue and profitability of Phoenix Children’s. This professional also serves as the point person for all system branding initiatives, including the branding agency relationship. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Strategies, this professional also serves as the marketing point-person for Phoenix Children’s professional sports partnerships, as well as high school and sports league programs.

Position Duties

  • Annual Marketing & Communications Plan
    I. Develops and executes the annual service line strategic marketing plan(s), with distinct focus on patient acquisition and retention, utilizing financial, operational and market share data and analytics to prioritize efforts and to develop goals, strategies and KPIs.
    II. Maintains accountability for overall quality of marketing strategy, plans and execution.
    III. Manages all service line digital content (including online physician bios) and social media content, including blogs.
    IV. Oversees mystery shopping initiatives of their respective service line(s), as well as the reporting of results and follow-up strategies to enhance the consumer experience.
    V. Serves as the Marketing point of contact for non-COE key service line(s) and a minimum of 4 other medical programs and services.
  • Ad Campaigns & Other Key Marketing Initiatives
    I. Serves as the point of contact for the respective service line(s) operational and physician leadership. This individual manages the development and execution of all multi-channel advertising, marketing, web and social media campaigns and other key marketing initiatives.
    II. Collaborates with agency and internal resources to develop compelling creative that promotes consumer awareness, interest, engagement and acquisition.
    III. Crafts and manages timely contribution and distribution of social media campaign content (paid and unpaid) in coordination with overarching campaign goals and strategies.
    IV. Oversees operational readiness before the launch of any ad/marketing campaign to ensure a seamless patient journey. Must be able to pivot due to changes in access or quality, or a significant increase/decrease in volumes.
    V. Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing, this professional continually analyzes and monitors industry and service line trends.
  • Branding
    I. Serves as the marketing project manager of Phoenix Children’s rebranding initiatives, including the day-to-day contact with the branding agency of record.
  • Sports Partnerships
    I. Is the point of contact and marketing lead for all professional sports sponsorships and all sports activation and community strategies, and all sports sponsorships of all community schools and leagues.
    II. Manages agency relationship(s) that assess(es) potential opportunities or sponsorships.
  • Budget & Monitoring
    I. Develops and manages service line marketing budget.
    II. Is responsible for tracking and measuring all campaigns/activities; provides quarterly reports to service line operational leaders, physicians and other key stakeholders.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
