Position Summary

Posting Note: ON site 4 days per week. Must be able to travel to various sites. 5-10% local travel.

The IT Clinical Optimization Analyst I facilitates, communicates, and coordinates the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of various clinical systems in a healthcare environment. Serving as a supporting resource, this role establishes and fosters connections with end users to ensure effective utilization of the clinical systems. The position contributes to assessing and refining workflow processes, proactive rounding within departments, shadowing end users, providing elbow support, and attending orientations to assist with new hire setup.

Position Duties

  • Supports the optimization of various clinical systems.
    a. Contributes to design, testing, and implementation of clinical applications.
    b. Develops/documents current and future workflows.
    c. Participates in after-hour call rotations.
    d. Troubleshoots, solves, and documents incidents using the hospital ticketing system.
    e. Consistently produces quality work product that is accurate, complete, and detailed.
    f. Prepares support documentation, test plans, basic specifications, and task plans.
    g. Provides support for basic or low complexity incidents, requests, and projects.
    h. Creates and/or helps provide training content for users.

1. Two (2) years of clinical or clinical IT experience working in a health care setting.

2. One (1) year of experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

3. Experience with creating and implementing workflows in a clinical setting.
