Position Summary
Posting Note: We are looking for a passionate Clinical Educator to support our East Valley Medical Surgical Observation Unit (MOSU). If you enjoy teaching, coaching, and helping nurses grow, this is an exciting opportunity to shape a new team and build a strong culture of learning. You will work closely with bedside staff, nurse leaders, and interdisciplinary partners to strengthen clinical skills and support safe, high quality care for pediatric patients.
You will identify learning needs, develop education programs, support onboarding and competency validation, and promote professional growth across the unit. This position develops, implements, and evaluates education plans that improve staff knowledge, confidence, and performance while supporting excellent patient outcomes and meeting organizational and regulatory standards.
This position develops, implements, and evaluates proactive educational plans and programs to address staff and departmental needs to ensure ongoing enhancement and improvement of staff skills, competencies and professional growth in accordance with established standards, requirements and regulations.
Position Duties

Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth.

Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes.

Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff.

Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies.

Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development.
