Position Summary

Posting Note: The Volunteer Coordinator – Corporate Engagement & Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a high volume of corporate volunteer experiences, in-kind drives, and partner activities that support the mission of Phoenix Children’s. Serving as the primary coordinator for volunteer engagement across the Corporate, Special Events and Grants teams this role manages volunteer scheduling, communication, logistics, execution, tracking and follow-up for experiences held at Phoenix Children’s, corporate partner locations and Foundation events. The Volunteer Coordinator serves as a key contact for corporate partners participating in volunteer activities, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience from planning through execution. The Coordinator works closely with Corporate/Special Events/Grants leadership, Gift Officers, and internal teams to ensure volunteer activities are organized, executed effectively, and provide a positive experience for partners and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Volunteer Program Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate partners participating in volunteer activities
• Coordinate and schedule volunteer events aligned with organizational priorities and partner interests
• Maintain a strong pipeline of corporate volunteer opportunities to support engagement and stewardship goals
Event Planning & Logistics
• Plan and execute volunteer events at Phoenix Children’s campuses and off-site corporate locations
• Manage all event logistics including materials, supplies, timelines, and staffing needs
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety protocols
• Develop detailed run-of-show documents for each engagement
On-Site Event Execution
• Lead on-the-ground execution of volunteer activities, ensuring a seamless and organized experience
• Oversee event setup and breakdown, including transportation and staging of materials
• Facilitate volunteer orientations, provide instructions, and ensure activities are completed successfully
• Serve as the on-site problem solver to address real-time needs or adjustments
Volunteer Experience & Engagement
• Deliver a high-quality, mission-driven volunteer experience that reflects the values of Phoenix Children’s
• Communicate the impact of volunteer efforts and connect activities to patient and family outcomes
• Build strong relationships with corporate partners to encourage repeat engagement and long-term support
Administrative & Reporting
• Track volunteer participation, hours, and outcomes using CRM or internal systems
• Prepare post-event summaries, including impact metrics and partner feedback
• Assist with recognition and stewardship efforts for corporate volunteers

The Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist with managing relationships, partnerships, programs, events and campaigns that result in growing annual revenue for the Foundation. The Coordinator collaborates with colleagues throughout the Foundation and/or hospital to help deliver first-class programs, events, recognition, and service to internal and external donors.

Position Duties

  • Provides hands-on assistance with fund raising tactics, timely and meaningful donor recognition and communications. Schedules meetings, volunteers and tours, tracks donations.
  • Keeps updated calendar of events, merchandise, supplies, contact information in database, tracking reports for campaign, program and event revenue and expenses.
  • Collaborates with Foundation colleagues to develop and implement prospect cultivation and recognition collateral, promotional materials and proposals to engage and increase interest in philanthropy and sponsorship from individuals and businesses.
  • Assists with tasks related to events and project management; communications; donor engagement and stewardship.
  • Helps cultivate relationships with existing and prospective supporters.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
