Position Summary
Posting Note: Join Phoenix Children’s as an EBP Program Manager, where you will lead the advancement of evidence-based practice across a nationally recognized pediatric health system. In this role, you will partner with clinical nurses, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to translate evidence into practice, mentor frontline teams, and elevate the quality of care through innovation and inquiry. The Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Program Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and sustainment of the organization’s EBP infrastructure. This role ensures nurses and interprofessional teams have the processes, tools, education, and governance support needed to translate evidence into clinical practice.
Position Duties

EBP Program Design & Infrastructure
- Designs, implements, and maintains a system-wide EBP framework aligned with organizational priorities and Magnet expectations.
- Establishes standardized EBP processes, tools, templates, and workflows.
- Ensures EBP integration into professional governance councils and clinical practice.
- Partners with the Director, Nursing Research & Innovation to align EBP priorities with the broader research and innovation strategy. -
EBP Education, Competency & Capacity Building
- Develops and oversees EBP education pathways for nurses at all levels.
- Establishes EBP competency expectations and validation processes.
- Provides coaching and consultation to clinical teams engaged in EBP projects.
- Supports development of EBP leaders and facilitators across the organization.
- Partners with Education and Professional Development teams to integrate EBP into curricula and role expectations. -
Project Oversight & Practice Change Support
- Provides programmatic oversight for EBP projects across the organization.
- Ensures projects follow established EBP methodology and timelines.
- Supports teams in translating evidence into practice changes.
- Collaborates with nursing leaders to ensure EBP projects align with operational priorities and feasibility.
- Monitors project progression and escalates barriers as appropriate. -
Governance Integration & Outcomes Alignment
- Partners with Shared Governance councils to integrate EBP into council workplans, support decision-making using evidence, and track outcomes related to EBP-driven practice changes.
- Collaborates with the Nursing Outcomes Manager to align EBP initiatives with nursing-sensitive indicators.
- Supports identification of EBP exemplars that demonstrate practice improvement. -
Dissemination & Knowledge Sharing
- Supports dissemination of EBP work through internal forums, posters, and presentations.
- Collaborates with the Nurse Scientist on appropriate pathways for scholarly dissemination when projects warrant.
- Promotes visibility of EBP contributions across the organization. -
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
