Position Summary
The Senior Decision Support Analyst provides advanced analytical, reporting, and decision support services with a primary focus on service line reporting, performance analysis, and operational insights. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and meaningful use of data within the Strata Decision Support System, including cost accounting, service line margin reporting, and operational analytics. The role collaborates closely with service line leaders, Finance, Strategy, and operational teams to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and continuous performance improvement.
Position Duties

Service Line Reporting & Analysis
• Develops and maintains service line reporting, including volumes, revenue, cost, contribution margin, patient population analytics, and operational trends using Strata.
• Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses for service line executives and Finance leadership.
• Interprets financial, operational, and clinical data to support service line strategy, growth planning, and performance improvement.
• Conducts ad hoc analyses and prepares pro formas, feasibility studies, and business case models for service line initiatives. -
Financial Planning & Operational Support
• Partners with Strategy and other Finance teams to incorporate service line impacts into budget, forecast, and long-range financial planning.
• Supports modeling of growth initiatives, capital requests, and enterprise planning scenarios.
• Meets regularly with operational and clinical leaders to review results, identify drivers, and recommend improvement actions. -
Strata Decision Support System Management
• Maintains and validates data within Strata’s cost accounting, service line, and analytics modules; ensures accurate data extraction and mapping across entities.
• Reviews costing results for reasonableness and resolves discrepancies in collaboration with Revenue Analytics and other Finance teams.
• Supports ongoing maintenance of system tables, statistics, assumptions, and reporting hierarchies.
• Promotes self-service analytic capabilities and helps train leaders and end users on Strata reporting. -
Special Projects
• Conducts complex financial analyses, cost studies, and scenario modeling to support leadership decision-making. -
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
