Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Our established Pediatrics Primary Care Office in the Tempe area is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team in a full-time back office role. Position Details: Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Setting: Back office role in a busy primary care office Preferred Experience: Pediatric experience highly desirable Certification Requirement: Must hold current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification — or be eligible and willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire Duties Include (but not limited to): Rooming patients and recording vital signs Administering vaccinations and medications Assisting with in-office procedures Performing EKGs, specimen collection, and other back office support Documenting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Ideal Candidate: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-focused Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and clinical skills Pediatric experience is a plus If you’re looking for a supportive team and a great work environment in a thriving community, we’d love to hear from you!
This role works under the direction of a licensed health care professional and performs various clinical and administrative tasks for the assigned area. The Medical Assistant is expected to carry out the mission, vision, and values of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A continuous exhibition of professionalism, strong ethical conduct, and integrity must be carried out at all times. Interdepartmental collaboration, high standards of work performance, keeping a positive attitude and adhering to the policies and procedures of Phoenix Children’s Hospital is essential. This position requires current and continuous certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) in the field of Medical Assisting or the ability to acquire within 90 days of hire. Anyone hired prior to 11/30/2021 has one year from their date of hire to obtain their required Medical Assistant Certification.
