Posting Note: Job Title: Lead Medical Assistant – Pediatric Neurosurgery Location: 1919 E Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016 Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric Neurosurgery team. This full-time position plays a key leadership role in supporting clinical operations, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service in a dynamic pediatric specialty environment. Minimum Qualifications: Certification: Must be RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) through AMT or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) through AAMA **No other certifications are accepted** BLS Certification: Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Possession of MA certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) may be accepted in lieu of graduation from an accredited medical assisting program. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare and/or pediatric healthcare setting
The Lead Medical Assistant performs all duties of the Medical Assistant while functioning as the resource person to non-licensed staff. This position acts as a working lead for the day to day operations of the designated clinic. The lead is a liaison between management and staff and keeps the leadership team apprised of early personnel issues. The daily duties of this position include direction of work flow and patient care under a licensed health care professional. The position drives communication between clinical staff to ensure safety, quality, and overall process compliance. The Lead Medical Assistant reports to the Manager, Ambulatory Business Operations. Additional direction is received from the Clinical Manager, Division Chief, RN's, PA's and/or Physician Leads as appropriate.
