Phoenix Children's is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with at least five (5) years of healthcare law experience in a law firms or in-house legal department working successfully with hospitals or health systems. This position is responsible for ensuring Phoenix Children's is in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. This position is responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, including, but not limited to, physician employment agreements, medical director agreements, real estate leases, equipment leases, research agreements and vendor and information technology contracts. Provides advice and guidance regarding compliance, medical staff issues, licensing, employment law, research, and business transactions. Familiarity with laws, rules and regulations applicable to healthcare entities. Provides legal advice to clinical leaders, hospital staff and committees on a wide range of patient issues, including interfaces with external regulatory agencies and patients/families.
