Posting Note: Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Lab Service Specialist to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring efficient patient care. Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours are 10:00am to 8:30pm (evening shift). This is a patient/customer service-oriented position which is responsible for timely and accurate patient scheduling, specimen collection, and ordering to ensure timely and accurate results. The position requires knowledge and experience with venipuncture techniques to successfully acquire blood with minimal adverse impact to pediatric patients. A knowledge of electronic health record and laboratory information systems to manage patient specimen orders and submissions is required. This position reports to the Supervisor, Pre-Analytics.
