Position Summary
The Non-Invasive Cardio Diagnostics Supervisor coordinates the activities of staff and operations for the designated modality across all locations. Monitors the adherence to all department policies, procedures, and services. The Non-Invasive Cardio Diagnostics Supervisor effectively communicates with staff, patients, family members as well as physicians and other internal/external customers and stakeholders. This is a role model and ambassador for the department and must provide exceptional customer service. Responsible for attending various operational meetings, safety and quality meetings. Schedules department meetings and runs daily huddles with clear agendas and communicates essential information to the staff.
Position Duties

Staffing
a. Supervises day-to-day operations and maintain appropriate staffing for each site.
b. Prepares formal performance evaluations and meets with employees individually to review and discuss.
c. Coaches employees on work performance and when needed, implements a process improvement plan for the employee’s success.
d. Works with manager to routinely assess the staffing and workloads of the sonographers to reduce WRMSDs risk.
e. Works with educator to ensure yearly competency skills assessments have been completed.
f. Works with educator to ensure educational/training opportunities are offered to ensure national standards as well as expanding current exams and procedures. -
Budget and Productivity
a. Participates in Scheduling on UKG, Reviews timecards, staffing and patient volume to meet productivity metrics.
b. Works with manager as needed, to review monthly financial documentation and explain variances outside the budgeted amount.
c. Works with manager as needed to assist in the yearly and capital budget planning process. -
Equipment
a. Works with appointed equipment champion to ensure ultrasound equipment is working properly and assists as needed.
b. Works with Radiology leadership at least yearly to assess the need for new machines, transducers and HLD machines due to patient volume or end of life equipment.
c. Works with appointed equipment champion or outside vendor to ensure machine repairs and preventative maintenance are scheduled as needed. -
Clinical
a. Performs a variety of Ultrasound examinations and reporting as requested by providers.
b. Determines proper techniques to ensure optimal results in accordance with all applicable national standards and procedures.
c. Maintains clinical competencies and certifications as required for this role. -
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
