Position Summary

The Lead Content Developer contributes to the success of Phoenix Children’s Hospital by creating, designing, deploying and measuring the impact of leadership, management, and employee training programs across the hospital system. As a key contributor to the business and Human Resources team, this position is responsible for managing key relationships through needs analysis, design, pilot, implementation, and measurement phases of the instructional design work with focus on strategic learning solutions that meet the needs of today while preparing for tomorrow.

Position Duties

  1. Instructional Design and eLearning Development
    • Designs, develops, and delivers/implements innovative and creative learning solutions (web-based and in-person training, technical training videos, job aids, guides, etc.) applying a variety of methods and eLearning authoring tools
    • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key business partners to develop and deliver learning solutions using adult learning principles and all learning modalities to enhance the learning experience
    • Communicates and collaborates with Education LPC’s (instructors) on learning solution deliverables
    • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of and applies the latest relevant research and methodologies in instructional design
    • Uses the principles of user experience and responsive design
    • Employs agile, iterative development methodologies
  2. Learning & Performance Consulting
    • Assesses learning and performance needs to craft effective and efficient plans for performance solutions and services that address business-specific requirements and constraints
    • Partners with Business leaders, R&D, Corporate Communications, and customers, to build highly technical learning solutions that produce measurable positive results
    • Supports the development and delivery of high-quality training and performance solutions
    • Effectively resolves issues or figures out if there are customer concerns
    • Works across complementary teams and departments to drive culture and alignment
  3. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
