Position Summary

This position provides direct oversight of all reporting and database systems related to Graduate Medical Education (GME). Develops, customizes, maintains, and administers multiple databases for the Medical Education Office. Trains program administrators and ensures accurate data input into the GME systems. Collaborates with program leadership members to meet Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education`s (ACGME) reporting requirements utilizing appropriate system applications. Partners with various departments and coordinates initiatives to bring consistency across programs as it relates to program administration and regulatory reporting processes.

Position Duties

  • Manages all operational aspects of the MedHub database and medical education related data systems. Responsible for the systematic management and retention of all institutional and program accreditation files.
  • Serves as an expert resource for the MedHub system providing training to residents, fellows, administrators, and faculty. Conducts database workshops for GME program personnel. Provides training sessions and assist staff in use of data collection systems.
  • Designs common database protocols for GME administration for evaluations, conference attendance, milestone reporting, and other required program activities. Contributes to the development and implementation of new technical solutions.
  • Works with the Chief Medical Education Officer and DIO, Residency Program Director(s) and Director of Medical Education to provide required data to the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), CHGME, IRIS, CMS, HRSA reports and audits, and the annual teaching incentive.
  • Implements and maintains the institutional dashboard to monitor program compliance.
  • Prepares data for monthly, semi-annual and annual reports required for graduate medical education programs, the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and subcommittees.
  • Manages the new hire onboarding process including launching onboarding checklists, ordering IT access, set up of e-prescribe accounts, trouble shooting IT issues for new hires. Coordinates exit checklists with program administrators.
  • Develops and maintains GME program webpages
  • Conducts regular audits in MedHub including demographics, licensure, schedules, work hours, scholarly activity, and other required documentation.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
