Vice President of Marketing
Position Details
Position Summary
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the evolution and integrity of the Phoenix Children’s brand and the development and deployment of marketing strategy to achieve the critical business objectives for one of the fastest growing pediatric systems of care in the United States. Major areas of focus for these activities include Phoenix Children’s market and programmatic expansions, Centers of Excellence, the growing portfolio of research, education and innovation activities, and supporting the organization’s efforts to recruit and retain top talent. The Vice President of Marketing serves as the steward of the organization’s brand and maintains the organization’s brand guidelines inclusive of its visual identity, naming architecture, position, pillars and voice. This leader also focuses the tools of the brand on gaining the loyalty of targeted healthcare purchase decision makers for Phoenix Children’s; principally patients, prospective customers and referral sources. The Vice President of Marketing provides leadership and direction over traditional marketing channels, digital marketing, creative services and physician relations. The Vice President of Marketing works collaboratively with the Vice President of Strategic Planning and the Vice President of Communications under the direction of the Sr. Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer of Phoenix Children’s.
Position Duties

Build up the Brand
- Ensures the brand is based on a robust and comprehensive understanding of the Phoenix Children’s current and desired consumers, distinguishing characteristics and the articulation of a clear, cogent and compelling brand promise. Defines, communicates and polices organizational conformance to the brand.

Execute on clear goals
- Builds out the tools and the team to identify clear consumer segments, measurable business objectives, and targeted performance goals as the basis for setting forth the organization’s broad marketing strategy and tactical plans. The work will clearly identify the consumer behavior that requires change/improvement; the messaging that will compel change; how the message will be channeled to the target; the resources needed; and the ongoing monitoring and corrective action planning to achieve success.

Build internal alignment
- Facilitates internal alignment and support across executive and medical staff leadership for the brand, marketing strategy and key campaigns/efforts.

Collaboration within the team
- Works collaboratively with the Vice Presidents of Communications, Strategic Planning and Public Affairs to ensure communications are aligned with and advance the strategic goals and business objectives of Phoenix Children’s.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
