Posting Note: Due to growth of the service line and the enterprise, the Section of Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) is recruiting for a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist. The Section performs over 7500 image-guided procedures per year, and is currently staffed by 3.5 full-time pediatric interventional radiologists and a full time pediatric neurointerventionalist. We perform a vast array of interventions, including but not limited to vascular access, treatment of vascular malformations, biliary procedures, feeding procedures, musculoskeletal procedures, angiography and embolization, and neurointerventional procedures. The Section has a long and rich history of teaching and clinical excellence. We participate in the multispecialty vascular anomalies clinic at PCH and are active in numerous multispecialty conferences. Phoenix Children’s Hospital has many centers of excellence, including the Heart Center, Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders and Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s. Additionally, we have active solid organ and bone marrow transplant programs. Participation in research is encouraged and is supported with research assistants. The PCH IR department includes two Philips DSA rooms (one with biplane), dedicated ultrasound in each room, an IR-only pre-procedure area and a consult room. Subspecialized pediatric anesthesiologists provide anesthesia services. There is a strong working relationship between the IR nurses, technologists and physicians, and by the time this physician position on-boards, there will be a dedicated IR APP and dedicated administrative assistance. The PCH Division of Radiology consists of 23 full-time radiologists subspecialized into Body, Neuro and IR sections, and is supported by a full-time imaging research PhD scientist. PCH Radiology faculty hold appointments to the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Phoenix), Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale), and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix). An active program of teaching and research includes 3 ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellow positions, 2 additional non-accredited fellow positions (Neuro and PIR) as well as fellows, residents and medical students from affiliated Radiology programs. PCH maintains a Master Research Agreement with Philips Health Tech, which supports an active program of clinical translational research of early stage development hardware and software applications in imaging and image-guided therapy. The 45,000 square foot PCH Radiology department maintains state of the art imaging technology with regular refreshes supported by the recent Philips-PCH Enterprise Agreement. Phoenix Children's Hospital is a freestanding 433-bed children’s hospital and is the largest pediatric facility in the Southwest USA. It is the only Level I designated pediatric trauma center in Arizona. Two additional inpatient floors will be opening in 2023 adding 100 new inpatient beds. There are currently 3 additional satellite outpatient and urgent care centers located across the Phoenix Valley region. Several new satellite PCH locations are slated to open in the Phoenix Valley in 2022-23, some with interventional radiology services. These locations include two new free-standing hospitals with outpatient surgery centers and multidisciplinary clinics, a large free standing emergency department with multispecialty outpatient clinics, and an urgent care and sports medicine clinic attached to a 320-acre sports and entertainment complex. Minimum requirements: • MD or DO degree, or equivalent • Completion of an ACGME-accredited diagnostic or interventional radiology residency • Completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology or Adult Interventional Radiology fellowship • Completion of a Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship (negotiable based on level of clinical experience) • ABR certified or eligible • Eligible for licensure in Arizona

The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the PCH mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families.

1. Patient Care Services
   • 1)Provide patient care services for which he/she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to:
   • a)Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis
   • b)Provide subspecialty consultations and follow-up.
   • c)Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures
   • d)Provide these services for urgent/ emergent care as necessary
   • 2)Strive to achieve the best patient and family centered care
   • 3)Support Hospital’s patient satisfaction goals as well as division’s specific targets
   • 4)Support and adhere to divisional patient safety and quality of care standards
   • 5)Practices Contemporary Evidence based medicine or latest experience based medicine
2. Divisional Responsibilities
   • 1)Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (e.g. individual, division, hospital)
   • 2)Support the medical education programs and activities of the Division, including but not limited to:
   • a)Provide direct supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for the delivery of inpatient and outpatient services when applicable
   • b)Conduct teaching rounds, lectures and conference for trainees
   • c)Participate in the teaching and supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals assigned to the division
   • d)Participate in the postgraduate continuing educational activities of the division
   • 3)Support the research endeavors of the division including the research initiatives by other members of the division
   • 4)Support programmatic growth of division
   • 5)Support satellite efforts of division when appropriate

   • 3)Physician shall represent PCH in the medical and business communities and before the general public in a professional manner
   • 4)The following physical and mental skills are essential to the physician’s ability to successfully perform the foregoing duties and responsibilities:
   • a)The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
   • b)The ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
   • c)The ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
