Position Summary
Position Duties
- This position coordinates the daily operation of the Child Life Zone by developing, implementing, and evaluating programs in collaboration with hospital departments, community, corporate, civic, professional, and philanthropic groups. Coordinates and supervises staff and interns in collaboration with the Director of the Division of Family Centered Care to provide extraordinary programs. Proactively supports the efforts that will ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promotes a family centered environment.
- Responsible for multiple program components and/or approved major departmental projects, including annual report, donor recognition, budgets, management reports and record maintenance to meet internal and external requirements, to include Teammates for Kids.
- Researches and develops new and innovative family centered care programs and services that are measurable, outcome driven, and evidence-based.
- Initiates comprehensive patient needs assessment for satisfaction and new program ideas.
- Provides ongoing program evaluation and reports outcomes to Director.
- Supervises Zone team and volunteers through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards.
- Supervises, maintains, and provides a safe, therapeutic, innovative and family centered care environment.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
