Position Summary

PLEASE CHANGE THE TITLE TO CORPORATE FOUNDATION RELATIONS OFFICER. NO OTHER CHANGES. The Corporate Foundation Relations Officer is a critical position in the high-volume Corporate and Special Events department that supports the mission on Phoenix Children's Hospital. Under the supervision of the V.P., Corporate Partnerships & Special Events, the Corporate Foundation Relations Officer will be responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prospect, identify, prepare, submit and manage grant proposals to corporate and corporate foundation sources. S/he will work closely with Foundation and Hospital staff to complete and ensure accurate reporting, outcomes and compliance on all grants and solicitations and communicate with funders. In addition this position will also develop and manage corporate relationships as a primary contact in addition to working closely with the Development/Account Management teams to assist with securing grant opportunities from corporate partnerships.

Position Duties

  1. Develops and manages a formal process for the entire grant life cycle including solicitation preparation and submission, award processing, reporting and support. Develops and builds relationships with corporate partners to provide.
    • Writes and submits grant proposals/applications to potential corporate funders including requests for proposals (RFPs).
    • Develops and builds relationships with corporate partners both as a primary point of contact as well as an additional liaison to a corporate relationship.
    • Attends meetings with corporate partners.
    • Hosts tours for prospective funders at the Hospital.
    • Works with Donor Relations and Stewardship team to provide stewardship opportunities and meaningful recognition to corporate donor partners.
  2. Manages production and assignment schedule and progress for corporate foundations and corporate grant opportunities for philanthropic support. Tracks all schedules and deadlines; communicates proactively.
  3. Works alongside Foundation and Hospital teams to ensure implementation of awarded proposals and all compliance requirements are met. Assists with managing the Foundation's and Hospital's required pre- and post-award systems required for related solicitations including Raiser's Edge data entry, reconciliation and reporting, as well as the project tracking system. Maintain current records in database and files, including grant tracking and reporting.
  4. Performs prospect research on corporations and corporate foundations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants. Works alongside research team to identify additional corporate grant opportunities.
  5. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
