Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with providers in the Phoenix Children’s enterprise, Phoenix Children’s Medical Group (PCMG) and the Phoenix Children’s Care Network (PCCN). In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring that all, contractual, financial and clinical integration requirements are adhered to and achieved through provider education, provider training, collaborative problem solving and trend identification.

Position Duties

  1. Trains all identified PCCN providers on all program related software and program initiatives. Serves as a liaison internally and externally to resolve PCCN issues; develops strong interpersonal relationships with assigned physicians / providers.
  2. Researches and resolves incoming escalated provider inquiries within contract guidelines; educates providers on new protocols, quality metrics, clinically integrated organizational protocols, organizational policies, and procedures.
  3. Assists with physician recruitment by identifying specific providers within a designated territory, facilitating the distribution of provider agreements. Coordinates with hospital physician relations team in order to maximize provider engagement.
  4. Schedules and makes visits with identified PCCN physicians/providers, nurses, referral coordinators, and office staff at hospitals and clinics in assigned territory to establish relationships. Effectively manages multiple identified territories with varying demographics.
  5. Attends all applicable member forum meeting and educational opportunities.
  6. Provides assistance to less experienced PCCN Provider Relations Representatives or team members to help resolve complex provider issues; serves as subject matter expert to other department staff.
  7. Ensures provider database and documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and complete; ensures new physician contracts are entered accurately.
  8. Assists with the development and implementation of provider training programs. Serves as the PCCN main training resource.
  9. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
