Position Summary
The Director of Strategic Implementation serves as a key leader within the Strategy Office, responsible for translating organizational strategy into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable results. Reporting to the Sr Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, this role ensures enterprise-wide execution of the strategic plan, facilitates the annual strategic planning process, and coordinates enterprise strategic initiatives and strategic opportunities.
Position Duties

Strategic Planning Leadership
Facilitates and participates in the annual enterprise strategic planning process, including environmental assessments, stakeholder engagement, prioritization, plan development, and executive review.
Coordinates annual and quarterly strategic plan reviews to evaluate performance, assess changing market conditions, and refine strategic priorities.
Translates strategic priorities into implementation roadmaps with defined milestones, timelines, owners, and success metrics.
Maintains enterprise strategic planning tools, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks.
Partners with executive leadership to ensure alignment between strategic priorities, resource allocation, and organizational goals. -
Strategic Initiative Execution and Governance
Serves as the central coordinator for execution of enterprise strategic initiatives.
Establishes governance structures, implementation methodologies, and accountability mechanisms to ensure successful delivery of strategic priorities.
Monitors initiative progress, identify risks and barriers, facilitate issue resolution, and drive corrective action when necessary.
Leads recurring strategy review meetings and executive governance forums.
Develops executive reports and presentations regarding initiative status, performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Partners with operational, clinical, project management office and administrative leaders to ensure effective implementation and achievement of strategic objectives. Assists with operational improvement initiatives as necessary. -
Strategic Opportunity & Deal Team Leadership
Coordinates the organization's Strategic Opportunity Review Process for emerging growth, partnership, and business development opportunities.
Facilitates evaluation of opportunities including acquisitions, joint ventures, clinical affiliations, provider partnerships, management agreements, service line expansions, real estate opportunities, and academic collaborations.
Leads cross-functional due diligence efforts involving Strategy, Finance, Legal, Operations, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, Revenue Cycle, and other stakeholders.
Develops business cases, financial analyses, investment recommendations, risk assessments, and executive decision-support materials.
Coordinates executive and board approval processes as appropriate.
Ensures successful transition of approved opportunities into implementation and operational ownership.
Monitors post-implementation performance to ensure strategic, operational, financial, and clinical objectives are achieved. -
Executive Support and Organizational Alignment
Serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Strategy Officer, Vice President of Strategy, and executive leadership team on strategic execution matters.
Facilitates alignment among departments and stakeholders around enterprise priorities.
Supports executive retreats, strategic planning sessions, board meetings, and leadership forums.
Develops executive communications and presentations regarding strategic priorities and organizational performance.
Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and strategic thinking. -
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Excellence
Identifies opportunities to improve strategic planning, governance, and implementation processes.
Introduces best practices in strategy execution, portfolio management, organizational performance, and change management.
Evaluates industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities to inform organizational decision-making.
Supports development of organizational capabilities related to strategic execution and performance management. -
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
