Position Summary

The Manager of Research Cores and Services will oversee research cores and programs, including but not limited to the Scientific Writing and Biostatistics cores, as well as provide oversight and coordination on large scale multilateral institutional projects. The Manager will oversee the workflow of core staff, ensuring timely and efficient support for research projects and proposals. The Manager will collaborate with other unit leaders to ensure seamless integration of support at each step in the research process. Additionally, the Manager will work to strategize methods to increase engagement with providers and increase accessibility to research resources and services.

Position Duties

  • Lead a team of scientific writers in the development of grant proposal and research manuscripts
  • Oversee research core service operations
    Oversee research core service operations, including metrics analysis, productivity, etc. with a customer service orientation. Maintains systems of records, tracks metrics and outcomes, and produces related reports. Ensures research compliance.
  • Provide project coordination and management on interdivisional institutional research projects.
  • Lead and participate in institutional research committees, including Scientific research committee, etc.
  • Maintains documentation
    Maintains documentation of proposals, tracks metrics and outcomes, and produces related reports. Ensures research compliance.
  • Lead research resource development initiatives
    Lead research resource development initiatives, including dashboard development and improvements, website and communications, identification of research opportunities, etc.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
