Position Summary
The Senior Planning Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of complex analysis to advance strategy and business development at Phoenix Children’s. This position primarily supports project teams in the day-to-day activities required in all areas relative to developing strategy and business plans to benefit new / expanded clinical, advocacy, research, education, foundation and other opportunities. The Senior Planning Analyst is the recognized subject matter expert on data analytics for the Strategic Planning team. This position will research and analyze market potential and economics underlying strategy and business plans as well as the maintenance of such reporting. The Senior Planning Analyst gathers, evaluates and analyzes data from primary and secondary sources; summarizes and presents findings for decision-making by Leadership. Mentor and be the point of contact for potential analyst(s).
Position Duties
- Extracts, gathers, and analyzes internal data, external / market data and benchmark data to assess geographic / service / product opportunities risks and benefits to facilitate decision-making by Leadership.
- Conducts current state and forecasts on market (e.g., health care organizations, payors), financial, demographic, consumer and clinical utilization; interprets the results and provides insights and maintains / updates as needed.
- Leads information development and management, supporting strategy and business plans of centers of excellence, service lines and Divisions.
- Provides support via data analytics, research and interviews to develop business cases / ROI analyses / feasibility studies; assists in the preparation of this content into impactful documents to review with Leadership.
- Provides advice and guidance to team members on data analytics process to keep insights relevant and valid.
- Develops and utilizes existing communication and project management tools for strategy and business development.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
