Position Summary

This position performs a variety of inventory control and supply stocking & replenishment functions for all clinical and non-clinical areas of the Hospital. This position is required to learn all required Supply Chain job functions related to PAR room stocking, Bulk ordering Receiving, Cycle counting, Courier support & Equipment cleaning. This position will also have the responsibility for training new and current employees in these same job functions. This position will act as the department Lead working with their Supervisor to ensure all required job responsibilities are completed daily in the most efficient manner.

Position Duties

  1. Inventories and stocks all hospital supply rooms, Central Supply, code carts and airway bags in accordance with established par levels. Assists other areas as needed.
  2. Maintains current inventory records by decrementing and incrementing items to reflect activity levels to provide for continuously available accurate information.
  3. Performs inventory cycle counts and supply bin inspections to ensure inventory accuracy and expired products are removed from inventory.
  4. Receives supply and equipment requisitions from departments. Coordinates delivery of items to ensure accuracy and timeliness of response in accordance with established standards.
  5. Assists with all Dispatch duties to include stocking and delivery of code cart & airway bags, pulling and delivery of PAR-X & E-Request orders, and working in Receiving and Equipment cleaning when short staffed.
  6. Assists with training new Employee on all job functions and responsibilities.
  7. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
