Position Summary

Posting Note: Position requires one year of research experience/equivalent and experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. Database development and management experience strongly preferred.

This position coordinates research projects and maintain clinical databases to support the Aerodigestive program.

Position Duties

  1. As requested or directed, gathers, summarizes and analyzes data and information succinctly to provide material for decision making.
  2. Completes study documentation forms, including case report forms and other study specific documents as needed.
  3. Coordinates logistics with other PCH departments/staff/outside vendors to schedule meetings/training/seminar sessions.
  4. Develops database in conjunction with IT, conducts data entry, analysis and dissemination.
  5. Maintains knowledge and understanding of assigned protocols, including all protocol requirements for patient visits. Obtains informed consent, patient visit schedules, tests, procedures, laboratory information, etc.
  6. Plans, organizes, and maintains all records, materials, references, and correspondence for department(s) to ensure ready reliable access and provision of all information.
  7. Reviews and responds to all regulatory requirements for all study protocols; completes all required forms/documents for studies with IRB.
  8. Schedules patient care and assures all procedures are conducted in compliance with the clinical protocol.
  9. Works independently in the extraction of data from patient charts and analysis of data per protocol as well as administrative/regulatory support in accordance with all federal, state and regulatory agency requirements and specific institutional requirements.
  10. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
