Position Summary

The Education Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for credentialing and onboarding all visiting residents and fellows. This position works independently under the supervision of the Manager of Graduate Medical Education to ensure all educational rotations are in compliance with PCH Policy. The Education Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate records in MedHub and serves as a key contact for community educational partners.

Position Duties

  1. Credentials all learners, rotating residents and fellows, including departmental approval and the collection of all required documentation.
    • Maintains records for all residents rotating at PCH in compliance with all relevant agency requirements and policies including but not limited to ACGME, Joint Commission and HIPAA. Reviews applications for completeness and accuracy, and checks in and out all learners, residents and fellows. Prepares necessary documents for rotations such as computer access and logons, ID badge cards, and collects/returns deposits.
  2. Assists the Director of Medical Education and Med Ed Data Administrator with the preparation of the annual IRIS report and audit, and various monthly and annual reporting requirements using data derived from New Innovations.
  3. Works with the Director of Medical Education to review Program Letter Agreements for visiting learners, residents and fellows. Coordinates legal review requests with PCH Legal Counsel and acts as a liaison with sponsoring institutions.
  4. GMEC: Submits monthly report of rotation requests for approval to the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
  5. Provides reports and data as needed to the Chief Medical Education Officer and Director of Medical Education.
  6. Assists Medical Education Program Administrators during recruitment season, escorting applicants to and from faculty interviews.
  7. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
