Position Summary

Position Duties

  1. Oversight of PCMG MA Float Pool Team
    • Coordination of float pool resources with forecasting of needs.
    • Selection and supervision of the float pool.
    • Conducts data collection of float pool usage.
    • Develops a 360 degree process to gain feedback for MA floats as well as divisions.
  2. Develops the orientation process and tools required for successful on boarding of MAs and Technicians in the Ambulatory setting. Conducts periodic evaluation of efficiency and effectiveness of the orientation process.
  3. Facilitate process for annual competency validation
    • Collaborates with IT in the development of LMS tools, Breakaway, and tests for electronic validation.
    • Coordinates clinical components of competency verification.
    • Maintains applicable records.
  4. Conduct annual needs assessment to identify and implement training needs and continuing education opportunities for unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in partnership with Clinical and Practice Managers, Talent Development and Administrative Business Systems.
  5. Assist Director of Nursing in the development of a Clinical Ladder for career progression of unlicensed assistive personnel within PCMG.
    • Serves as an advocate for clinical ladder participants.
    • Provides resources as needed for selection panel.
  6. Review PCMG quality metrics related to UAP role and assist in identification and development of strategies for improvement in clinical outcomes.
  7. Establish and coordinate clinical externship rotations for MA community training programs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. Coordinate school agreements and contracts with Medical Staff Education, Nursing Education and Legal Services.
  8. Support and encourage participation of Nursing Education Preceptor Program, develop a train the trainer program and mentors to ensure consistent standards are applied.
  9. Maintain clinical competency as a Medical Assistant.
  10. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
