Position Summary

This position supports the day to day operations within the Motion Analysis Laboratory. Main duties include the calibration and operation of all laboratory equipment, patient data reduction, editing documentary video recordings, and management of patient data. Other duties may include maintenance and repair of equipment, working with students and volunteers, technical writing, and professional presentations.

Position Duties

  1. Performs timely calibrations and operates all laboratory equipment efficiently.
  2. Processes and analyzes laboratory measurement data in a timely manner per standard procedures in support of clinical and research programs.
  3. Builds and maintains rapport with internal and external support sources, including, but not limited to, PCH Information Technology and Facilities Management departments, as well as equipment/software suppliers.
  4. Builds and maintains rapport within the department, hospital and community, professionally interacting with physicians, families and hospital/community personnel.
    • Preparation and participation in in-service training programs on a regular basis.
    • Supervises and directs volunteers and/or students, providing input into their performance evaluations.
  5. Assists in preparation of scientific manuscripts and presentations.
  6. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
