Position Summary

This position involves examination and analysis of patients referred to the Motion Analysis Laboratory. Main duties include physical examination, collection of motion analysis data, report generation, and collaboration with care providers to create treatment plans. Other duties may include working with students and volunteers, technical writing, and professional presentations.

Position Duties

  1. Conducts physical examinations and motion analysis studies demonstrating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, motion capture theory and child development necessary to gain patient compliance with testing procedures and to ensure data quality.
  2. Creates clinical reports based upon motion analysis testing and complies with Joint Commission documentation standards, including participation in Total Quality Management.
  3. Builds and maintains rapport with internal and external referral sources, collaborates on data interpretation and treatment planning. Delivers results in a timely fashion.
  4. Builds and maintains rapport within the department, hospital and community, professionally interacting with physicians, families and hospital/community personnel.
    • Preparation and participation in-service training programs on a regular basis.
    • Supervises and directs volunteers and/or students, providing input into their performance evaluations.
  5. Assists in preparation of scientific manuscripts and presentations
  6. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
