Position Summary

Position Duties

  1. Events – planning, execution and strategic evaluation of donor and stakeholder events, including
    • Donor engagement and cultivation events, as well as donor gift announcements and recognition events
    • Developing and executing event concepts, invitations, themes, dcor and food services
    • Managing and coordinating event logistics – working with internal teams, external suppliers and consultants
    • Development of project briefs, executive briefings and final reports
    • Monitoring budgets and expenses
    • Strategically administering event guest lists, registration processes and data capture
    • Coordinating and supervising event staff and volunteers
    • Collaborating with Foundation and Hospital departments to share resources, integrate messaging, and to maximize exposure and benefits to the institution and stakeholders
    • Keeping current with trends in donor recognition and event production by participating in conferences, workshops and/or other training opportunities
  2. Communications & Marketing
    • Working collaboratively with Communications and Digital to develop and execute event communication strategies, targets and measurements
    • Writing event scripts, speaking notes and production schedules
    • Liaising with Foundation and Hospital Communications for media events, requests, announcements and releases
    • Utilizing social media to enhance event strategies and experiences
  3. Stewardship
    • Working closely with Development staff, provide input to stewardship strategies to ensure seamless integration between recognition events and stewardship activities
    • Support event requirements for donor giving societies and guilds
    • Contribute to the development, maintenance, implementation and annual review of the stewardship strategic plan which guides stewardship activities and aligns with donor commitments, donor objectives and budget realities
  4. Leadership
    • Participates in improving organizational performance by recommending areas or approaches for improvement, performing new procedures, and providing input to department discussions
    • Attends and participates in regular departmental staff meetings, communicating information and team updates
  5. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
