Position Summary

Position Duties

  1. Actively participates and engages in a variety of planned cultivation/solicitation activities to ensure achievement of major and planned gift fund raising goals and objectives.
  2. Actively participates in field research through developing and maintaining contacts with prospects and volunteers; assists develop major and planned gift solicitation materials.
  3. Initiates and maintains relationships with hospital major and planned gift prospects and donors including, but not limited to individuals, and the business and foundation community to promote and increase community awareness and support through major and planned giving. Develops expertise in Hospital Centers of Excellence and Service Lines; serves as a Foundation liaison in assisting physicians, program directors and administration with capital and programmatic funding needs.
  4. Maintains a portfolio of 150 or more prospects and continually makes measurable moves in researching, cultivating and soliciting a group of top 75 prospects.
  5. Maintains professional competency through constantly pursuing knowledge and self-improvement by remaining apprised of current trends and developments including healthcare innovations, the latest technology and practices to improve outcomes.
  6. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates a variety of ongoing communication programs designed to promote and educate various audiences about philanthropy.
  7. Contributes to various prospect cultivation and donor recognition programs and strategies to engage and increase interest of agents of wealth throughout the local, regional and national community.
  8. Prepares regular reports of major and planned gift activity and results against target to provide basis for assessing success rate. Works toward achieving agreed upon performance metrics based on discovery actions, prospects cultivated, solicitations, proposals developed and gifts closed.
  9. Works closely and in conjunction with Director, and other staff members/volunteers to develop and finalize strategies for cultivation and solicitation of major and planned donor prospects to ensure effective coordination of activities.
  10. Works closely with Director, SR Vice President, Foundation and other staff members to identify and develop relationships with major and planned gift prospects and donors to maximize long-term and continued giving.
  11. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
